Child's Comfort

Quilted backrest, padded five-point safety harness

The quilted backrest is made from breathable fabric and chest pads are attached to the five-point safety harness belt (also adjustable). This means that your child stays dry and comfortable during the ride, so that you'll have no worries about having an itchy, irritable, sweaty baby afterward. The padded safety harness belt means that your little one will also be comfortable AND safe while you're out for the day. Independent suspension for each wheel

Lightweight

The Mamas & Papas Pushchair Pulse weighs about 7 kg, making it very light and easy to manoeuvre. It's meant as a second lightweight option to a more traditional pushchair. It folds to just a fraction of its size when opened, making it easy to store or carry on public transportation with you as you need to.

Fixed handle height position

The fixed handle height position of 108 cm is perfect for taller parents who need an easy to push pushchair to go around the city with, without risking back injury. Quality and durability

The frame of the pushchair itself is very lightweight, resists corrosion, and is made of sturdy aluminum. It's sturdy enough to support older toddlers as well as babies, with a very strong seat unit and with good suspension even for heavier weights up to 15 kg.

It comes with a rain cover that, while certainly serviceable, may rip with repeated use; the rain cover may not be suitable for older and taller children. Nonetheless, the frame itself is very sturdy and stands up to steady use in and of itself; for better cover during inclement weather, you may want to get a sturdier pushchair meant for the long-term use of three and four years (which of course means it will also be heavier and may be more expensive as well).

Even with extended in steady use, the frame and seat unit show very little wear, however, which means it's certainly meets the duties of a pushchair, inclement weather covering notwithstanding.

Safety

Of course safety, as well as your child's comfort, are going to be your two main concerns when you buy a pushchair. The Mamas & Papas Pushchair Pulse model certainly meets these requirements, with one exception that you may or may not decide will thwart your purchase.

Linked brake locks for both back wheels

It should first be said that the Pushchair itself does address safety very well, with linked brake locks for both back wheels, and the ability to change front wheels from the swivel to "forward-backward only" with the push of a button.

Safety harness

The five-point safety harness is probably not suitable for older children, since it is likely to become too tight for those approaching toddler-hood, but the included seatbelt itself can still be used with toddlers. The safety harness it's certainly suitable for infants, though.

Visible reflective trim

It has visible reflective trim so that it can be easily seen by other people, cars, etc.

The one drawback it may have in terms of safety is its lightweight design. Of course, this makes it very maneuverable and portable, and it should be quite safe as long as you are standing right by it when your baby is in it. That said, though, it is so lightweight that when empty, it can be blown away by the wind, and can tip over quite easily as well in the wind or if you try to hang your changing bag on it, for example.

The pushchair itself is very attractive, available in silver and black or in red, as you wish. It also includes two pockets (large and small) and a net shopping bag underneath the Pushchair if you wish to do some shopping when you are out, or to carry snacks and toys with you. (It should be noted that this is not suitable for particularly large shopping trips, though; for that, a separate pram bag is recommended.)
