If you have a little one, perhaps you've used Bugaboo pushchairs before and know about their excellent quality and easy to use, streamlined, lightweight design. What makes Bugaboo pushchairs so innovative, though, is the company behind them. Designer Max Barenbrug graduated with honours in 1994 from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, with this final project, what would become the range of Bugaboo pushchairs. However, there was a problem because no manufacturer would take on the design, thinking it would not be viable. So, he and entrepreneur Eduard Zanen decided to manufacture the pushchair themselves. In 1999, the company made its debut in Holland with the first Bugaboo pushchair, a pushchair that has since electrified the industry and delighted parents with its streamlined design.
Today, Bugaboo pushchairs have become the industry's elite; their lightweight, stylish design makes them all-purpose and suitable for use in the city and for leisure pursuits, and they are especially attractive to fathers as well as mothers. And all because Zanen and Barenburg had a vision for pushchairs that they wouldn't compromise on! |
